Refit: new shine for maximum regeneration

Endless largeness and quietness, a unique nature and a hotel that sets new standards in equipment and service - all this represent the 5*Hotel BUDERSAND Golf & Spa on Sylt. Built directly by the sea, the wellness resort blends into the rugged nature. Large atriums create a connection to the life of the foyer, the restaurant and the luxurious spa area. The modern interior design is characterised by a sporty and elegant design. Precious and exclusive natural materials underline the effect.

Modernisation of spa area

The hotel, newly built in 2009, has always been very popular. Especially the huge wellness area is a boon for body and soul in the rough Nordic weather. After 13 years, it was time for a refresh. The green granite Verde Andeer which is laid in the entire floor area, showed signs of wear due to treatments with massage oil. These were now removed as part of the refit. Through a professional rework of the reception area, the massage rooms, the relaxation room and the corridors, the spa area shines again in its classic natural elegance.

As part of the renovation, the pool basin was redesigned and the entire pool head of the stunning infinity pool was remodelled. Due to a replacement of the existing mosaics and a new installation, the pool shines in new brilliance. With the renewal of the pool surround and the use of ceramics, the requirements of a property-appropriate application were implemented. New inlet and outlet jets, together with modern lighting technology, emphasize the impressive infinity pool, which creates an open and relaxing atmosphere thanks to the seemingly rimless pool.

The showers in the sauna area and the changing rooms were modernised in the course of the refit. Newly laid mosaics on the walls and natural stone elements out of Verde Andeer in the showers give the changing rooms a modern and high-quality appearance. Almost invisible are the newly designed water drains with a cover of natural stone. 3m high glass partitions between the showers make the area appear open.

Comprehensive project realisation

The refit of the spa area covered in total 850 m². The implementation took place while the hotel was open. Within 3 months, we carried out all refurbishment work and integrated technical improvements at the same time. The same natural stones were specifically chosen for the project realisation in order to ensure a uniform design concept throughout the entire hotel. Since March 2022, the natural stone work is shining in new splendour and it is again time to arrive, take a deep breath and relax to the max!
